Privacy Policy — Handoff Hero

This policy explains what information Handoff Hero (“we,” “us”) collects when you use the app, how it’s used, and who it’s shared with. It’s written to describe what this specific app actually does, not a generic template.

Information we collect

Account information. Your email address and password (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase — we never see or store your raw password).
Knowledge base content. Anything you add to your knowledge base — brand voice guidelines, reference facts, past posts. This is the content you choose to feed into your own generations.
Generated content. Topics, tone, length, and keyword inputs you submit to the generator, and a record of when each generation happened (used only to enforce your plan’s daily limit — we don’t store the generated post text itself).
Billing information. If you upgrade to Pro, Stripe handles and stores your payment details directly — we only receive your subscription status, plan, and Stripe customer ID, never your card number.
Contact form submissions. Name, email, and message, if you use the contact form.

How we use it

To authenticate you and keep your knowledge base and generations private to your account.
To generate blog posts: your topic and knowledge base entries are sent to our AI providers (Anthropic and/or OpenAI) as part of the generation request. They process this content to return a draft; see their own privacy policies for how they handle API data.
To enforce daily generation limits based on your plan.
To process payments and manage your subscription, via Stripe.
To respond to messages sent through the contact form, via Resend.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your data. We share the minimum necessary with the services that make the app work:

Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication.
Anthropic / OpenAI — process generation requests (topic, tone, length, and relevant knowledge base content) to produce drafts.
Stripe — processes payments and manages subscriptions for Pro plan customers.
Resend — delivers contact form messages to our inbox.

Data retention

Your knowledge base entries and account data are kept for as long as your account exists. You can delete individual knowledge base entries at any time from the Knowledge Base page. Deleting your account removes your knowledge base, subscription record, and generation history; contact us if you’d like this done manually.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser local storage to keep you signed in between visits (your Supabase session token). We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can access, edit, or delete your knowledge base entries directly in the app. To access, export, or delete other account data, or to ask a question about this policy, contact us at contact@handoffhero.com or via the contact form.

Children’s privacy

Handoff Hero isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we’ll update the date above. Continued use of Handoff Hero after a change means you accept the updated policy.
